I will Engage families, teachers and students by listening and making their voices part of every decision. We will Empower our schools with strong polices, clear communication, and opportunities for leadership. And we will Excel by setting high standards, using resources wisely, and celebrating student success across District 5.
Engage
Engaging means building real connections with everyone who shapes our schools. That means listening to teachers and principals, working alongside parents, partnering with community organizations, and uplifting student voices. By creating open communication, celebrating successes, and ensuring every group has a seat at the table, we can make decisions that truly reflect the needs of our district. It isn’t just a slogan - it’s the foundation for stronger schools and brighter futures.
Empower
I will work to empower teachers with the resources they need, empower parents with clear communication and opportunities to be heard, empower students by valuing their ideas and leadership, and empower the community by building partnerships that strengthen our schools. When everyone feels empowered, our district grows stronger, and every child has the chance to thrive.
Excel
As a board member, I will advocate for fair and effective curriculum standards, ensure accountability in how resources are used, and support programs that recognize and build on student strengths. By setting clear expectations, celebrating growth, and holding our district to high standards, we can create schools where students don’t just get by - they excel.
